MACARTHUR FOUNDATION AND UBEC CONDUCT 3 DAY TRAINING FOR UBEC STAFF ON OPEN CONTRACTING DATA STANDARD (OCDS)
The MacArthur Foundation in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) organized a three (3) day training for staff of the Commission on Open Contracting Data Standard (OCDS), the training which took place from the 8th-10th of May, 2019 held at the Newton Park Hotel, Wuse Zone 4, Abuja. The training was conducted by Public and Private Development Centre (PPDC) which is an agency assigned by the Foundation to conduct the training.
The training which was part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between UBEC and the Foundation for the introduction of and implementing the OCDS in the Commission procurement process. The training provided an opportunity for staff of the Commission to familiarize themselves with the operations of the OCDS and its platform, which is based on recognized international procurement standard.
At the end of the three-day training, the OCDS Platform was integrated into the UBEC’s website. The OCDS platform will serve as a hub for all information concerning the UBEC/MacArthur programme especially data imputed on procurement processes and procedures in the Commission.
